This box is made from Box Elder, Bloodwood, and Ebony. The top panel is Box Elder Burl. It was made with a four corner grain match allowing the grain to flow around the box smoothly. The outer dimensions are approx. 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 2 3/4" tall. The outside is finished with a French polish shelac brought down to a satin sheen that brings out a beautiful subtle curly sheen on the body. The whole thing is buffed out with Carnauba wax. The hinges are made by Brusso and allow the box to be opened 180*. The liner is a suede material and will not tarnish silver. (note that the red on the Box Elder may fade over time if exposed to sunlight)
